Pathwaize vs CarrotCRM (formerly InvestorFuse): Pricing, AI Agents and Features Compared

CarrotCRM is the InvestorFuse CRM, now sold by Carrot from $69 a month. It is a low cost CRM that does not include AI voice, dialer, direct mail, list data or skip tracing. Limited AI features are available as an add-on for $99 a month. Pathwaize Pro costs $197 a month and includes all of it, with 24/7 AI voice and text agents.

Pathwaize vs CarrotCRM (formerly InvestorFuse): pricing, AI agents and features compared

Pathwaize vs CarrotCRM at a Glance

If you searched for InvestorFuse, this is the page you want. InvestorFuse joined Carrot in 2026 and its CRM is now CarrotCRM, with new plans, no setup fee, and native texting and eSign it never had. The comparison below uses CarrotCRM's current pricing, not the legacy $147 a month InvestorFuse page that still ranks in search. The two platforms are built for different jobs: CarrotCRM manages leads that arrive from a Carrot website, and Pathwaize runs the whole acquisition process, from data and outreach to AI answering the phone. That difference, not the sticker price, is what decides your bill.

Key Takeaway

Cheaper to start: CarrotCRM. $69 a month for 3 users, or free for 1 user, versus $197 for Pathwaize Pro. Additional seats are $50 a month on Pathwaize; CarrotCRM does not sell extra seats and moves you up a tier instead.

AI agents: Pathwaize includes voice, text, email and chat agents in every plan. CarrotCRM sells a text-only Autonomous Lead Manager inside a $99 a month AI Suite and, per Carrot's own FAQ, has no AI voice agent.

What is not in the CRM: CarrotCRM has no dialer, direct mail, list building, skip tracing or distress monitoring, and its website is a separate $119 a month Carrot Web subscription. Pathwaize includes each of these.

Caps: CarrotCRM limits eSign sends to 5, 20 or 50 a month, follow-up sequences to 8 or 15 below Team, and property reports to 50 to 200 a month. Pathwaize has no caps on eSign, sequences or records.

Best fit: CarrotCRM for a newer investor running an inbound website funnel who does a few deals a year and wants the lowest possible fixed cost. Pathwaize for an operator who wants AI answering and following up from day one and the full stack on one bill.

Pathwaize vs CarrotCRM Pricing

CarrotCRM prices by feature gate. Each tier unlocks more users, sequences, property reports and eSign sends, with texting and email included, dialing through a third-party integration, and every AI feature behind a $99 a month AI Suite after a small monthly free trial. Pathwaize prices by plan with AI, dialer, mail, data and eSign included, and usage billed at published per-unit rates. Here is how the two line up on plans, AI and usage.

AI Agents: Included Versus Add-On

Every paid CarrotCRM tier lists "AI features" on its plan card. Read the fine print: that is a limited free trial each month of three tools, and full usage requires the AI Suite at $99 a month. The suite is non-refundable, carries its own usage limits with warnings at 75 percent and 100 percent, and Carrot says additional charges may apply above them. There is no voice agent in it at any price.

Usage Rates and What Needs Another Product

CarrotCRM publishes fewer usage rates than any vendor in our six-platform scorecard. Most overage handling is "upgrade the tier," and several lines below are not in the CRM at all. Where Carrot sells the capability elsewhere, the add-on price is shown; where it does not, you are buying and connecting a third-party tool.

What You Actually Pay: Three Real Setups

Sticker price is the start of the bill. Here are three setups investors actually run, priced from each vendor's published list rates with no promotions. Usage is shown separately so you can plug in your own volume. The first scenario is the honest one: CarrotCRM wins it. The second shows what happens when you try to match the Pathwaize stack.

Takeaway CarrotCRM bills $545 less in year one, and covers texts only. Voice is not available at any price.

Usage on top of both: 500 AI voice minutes a month is $195 on Pathwaize Pro and does not exist on CarrotCRM. The $29 a month gap on the subscription buys a 24/7 voice agent, a power dialer, direct mail, unlimited eSign, property data with 600+ data points, skip tracing and a lead capture website. If you only need a text agent and a place to log leads, CarrotCRM is the cheaper subscription and this page will not tell you otherwise.

Same Operator, CarrotCRM Matched as Closely as Carrot Can Match It

To get a website, a dialer and full AI usage on CarrotCRM you buy three more products. This is what the Pathwaize Pro feature set costs from Carrot, before usage and before the things Carrot does not sell at all.

Takeaway Pathwaize costs $1,183 to $1,483 less in year one for the closest stack Carrot sells.

The smrtPhone figure is an estimate of a typical single-user plan; check smrtPhone's current pricing for your seat count. AI usage overages on the Carrot AI Suite are not published and are not included. Anything Carrot does not sell (voice AI, direct mail, list building, skip tracing, distress alerts) would be a fourth, fifth and sixth subscription from someone else.

Takeaway Pathwaize costs $42 less in year one, with voice and text AI versus text only.

Usage on top: 500 AI voice minutes a month is $130 on Pathwaize Plus. Add Carrot Web for the team's website and CarrotCRM's monthly rises to $370, or $4,440 for the year, $1,470 more than Pathwaize. At five users the AI subscription and the missing pieces, not the CRM price, decide the bill. Scale also caps eSign at 20 sends a month, which a five-person acquisitions team will hit.

Feature Comparison: Pathwaize vs CarrotCRM

Status means what it says on each vendor's pricing and feature pages. Included is in at least one plan. Limited is included with a cap or allowance. Add-on is a paid product on top of the plan. Partial is a narrower equivalent. Not included is not advertised by the vendor, or requires a separate third-party tool you buy and connect.

Where CarrotCRM Is Stronger

A comparison you can trust has to say this part out loud. The move from InvestorFuse to CarrotCRM fixed the things investors disliked most about the old product, and on these points it beats Pathwaize.

  • Lowest entry price in the category. $69 a month for 3 users, $59 on annual, and a permanent free tier for 1 user. Pathwaize Pro is $197 for 1 user. If you close a few deals a year and want the smallest fixed cost, CarrotCRM is the cheaper subscription.
  • No setup fee and no annual lock to get the best price. InvestorFuse charged a setup fee; CarrotCRM does not. Pathwaize charges $197 on Pro and Plus unless you go annual.
  • Three users on the entry plan. Essential includes 3 seats and Scale 5. Pathwaize Pro is 1 user, with additional seats at $50 a month.
  • A real free tier, not a timed trial. You can run one user, 3 sequence templates and 5 property reports a month indefinitely. Pathwaize offers a demo and onboarding instead.
  • Tight fit with Carrot websites. If your inbound leads already come from a Carrot site, CarrotCRM Free is bundled with every Carrot Web plan and the lead flow, call tracking and AI Call Insights are designed around it.
  • A longer track record. The InvestorFuse CRM has been in market for years under Carrot's ownership of the category, with more third-party reviews to read before you buy.

Where Pathwaize Is Stronger

  • Someone answers the phone. Sam AI takes inbound calls 24/7, qualifies the seller, books the appointment and makes speed-to-lead and follow-up calls, in every plan. Carrot's own FAQ says it does not offer a voice agent.
  • AI is in the plan, on every channel. Voice, SMS, email, web chat and social DMs with follow-up that adapts to replies. CarrotCRM's AI is a $99 a month suite, SMS only, and the "AI features" on its paid plan cards are a monthly free trial.
  • The stack is in the box. Power dialer, direct mail, list building, skip tracing, lead capture websites and unlimited eSign are included. On CarrotCRM those are a smrtPhone subscription, not offered, not offered, not offered, a $119 a month Carrot Web plan, and 5 to 50 sends a month.
  • No caps that grow with your business. Unlimited eSign sends, unlimited sequences and per-record data with no monthly allowance. CarrotCRM's Essential plan allows 5 eSign sends and 8 sequences a month.
  • Seller data on demand. $0.03 a record with 600+ data points and $0.07 a skip trace. CarrotCRM's only native data is 50 to 200 property reports a month and no skip tracing at all.
  • Direct mail that reports back. MailPixel pieces from $0.68 carry a QR code, and a scan starts a multi-channel follow-up inside the CRM. CarrotCRM does not offer mail.
  • Real-time distress monitoring. Pre-foreclosure, tax and probate alerts, included on Elite and available on Pro and Plus. Not offered by CarrotCRM.
  • AI that builds. Workflow AI, funnel and email AI, Ask AI for your own CRM data, and a studio for custom agents with 30+ tool connectors. Carrot's AI rewrites website copy.
  • Pathwaize Intelligence on Elite. A Business Brain built for you, a monthly Intel Brief with ranked actions, and an Authority Engine that publishes in your voice. CarrotCRM's nearest equivalents are per-lead summaries and site audits.
  • 24/7 support with a dedicated account manager. CarrotCRM's live chat runs weekdays 7am to 3pm Pacific, phone support is a $69 a month add-on, and there is no account manager.

Which Should You Choose?

Choose CarrotCRM If

  • You are newer, close a few deals a year, and the lowest fixed cost matters more than coverage.
  • Your leads already come from a Carrot website and you want the CRM built around it.
  • You send one or two contracts a month and 5 to 20 eSign sends is enough.
  • You already pay for a dialer, data and mail tools and are not ready to consolidate them.
  • You want to start free and pay only when you outgrow the tier.

Choose Pathwaize If

  • You want AI answering, qualifying and following up on calls and texts from day one.
  • You want the dialer, mail, data, skip tracing, website and eSign on one bill instead of four.
  • You send contracts every week and do not want to count eSign sends.
  • You pull lists and skip trace inside the CRM rather than importing from another tool.
  • You want 24/7 support and a done-for-you setup rather than weekday chat.
  • You are at Elite scale and want a business intelligence layer on your own data.

Why 24/7 Answering Is the Real Difference

Most of what separates these two platforms comes down to one question: when a motivated seller calls, who picks up? CarrotCRM's Autonomous Lead Manager can text a seller who fills out a form. It cannot answer the call. When that seller gets voicemail at 8pm, they call the next investor on the list. The Lead Response Management Study led by James Oldroyd found the odds of qualifying a lead are 21 times higher when the response comes within 5 minutes rather than 30.

Pathwaize's Sam AI answers every inbound call and web lead inside that window, around the clock, on every plan, and it costs $0.39 a minute of talk time on Pro. On CarrotCRM the closest option is a third-party voice AI connected through Zapier or smrtPhone, which you buy, configure and support yourself. The $128 a month difference between CarrotCRM Essential and Pathwaize Pro is the price of not missing that call.

Switching from CarrotCRM or InvestorFuse to Pathwaize

Migration is part of onboarding, not a separate service. Here is how it runs.

  1. Export from CarrotCRM. Contacts, leads, notes, labels and follow-up sequences. Flag the phone numbers you want to keep so they can be ported, including any Carrot call-tracking numbers.
  2. Decide what happens to your Carrot website. Keep it and point its forms and call tracking at Pathwaize, or move to a Pathwaize site during onboarding. Either works; the leads land in the same place.
  3. Pathwaize maps and imports it. The onboarding team configures pipelines, tags, automations and Sam AI's qualification script around your business, not a template. Your InvestorFuse-style follow-up sequences become adaptive AI follow-up.
  4. Two live 1:1 sessions. You walk the system with a real estate professional, test Sam AI on your own number, and go live.
  5. Time the overlap. CarrotCRM has no setup fee and monthly billing, so you can run both for a month with no penalty. If you prepaid annually, note the renewal date; Carrot's 30-day money-back guarantee covers the primary subscription only.

Pathwaize vs CarrotCRM FAQ

What is the main difference between Pathwaize and CarrotCRM?

Pathwaize is a complete acquisitions platform: AI voice and text agents, power dialer, direct mail, seller data, skip tracing and eSignatures are all in the plan, from $197 a month. CarrotCRM is a lead management CRM from $69 a month that pairs with a Carrot website: texting, email and capped eSign are native, AI is a $99 a month text-only add-on, and dialing, direct mail, list building, skip tracing and the website itself come from separate products.

Is InvestorFuse still available?

No. InvestorFuse joined Carrot and its CRM is now sold as CarrotCRM, with plans from free to $349 a month and no setup fee. Carrot's own FAQ describes CarrotCRM as the InvestorFuse CRM. The legacy InvestorFuse pricing page, which still shows $147 a month plus a setup fee, applies to existing customers; new signups go to CarrotCRM.

How much does CarrotCRM cost?

As of September 12, 2026, CarrotCRM has four plans: Free at $0 for 1 user, Essential at $69 a month ($59 on annual billing) for 3 users, Scale at $179 ($152 annual) for 5 users, and Team at $349 ($297 annual) for 10 users. There is no setup fee. Full AI usage needs the AI Suite at $99 a month, a Carrot website starts at $119 a month, and phone dialing runs through a third-party integration such as smrtPhone.

Does CarrotCRM have an AI voice agent?

No. Carrot's AI page states it does not currently offer an AI voice agent and points to third-party integration. CarrotCRM's AI Suite, $99 a month, includes the Autonomous Lead Manager, which texts with leads, plus AI lead scoring, opportunity summaries and call insights for calls that come through Carrot call tracking. Pathwaize includes Sam AI, a 24/7 inbound and outbound voice agent, in every plan.

Is AI included in CarrotCRM's paid plans?

Only as a limited free trial each month. Every paid CarrotCRM tier lists AI features, but full usage requires the AI Suite add-on at $99 a month, which is non-refundable and carries its own monthly usage limits with additional charges possible above them. Pathwaize includes its AI agents in the plan and meters usage at $0.39 per AI voice minute and $0.06 per AI message on Pro.

Does CarrotCRM include a dialer, direct mail or skip tracing?

No. CarrotCRM has no native dialer; calling runs through smrtPhone or smrtDialer, and call tracking numbers come with Carrot Web rather than the CRM. Direct mail, list building, skip tracing and driving for dollars are not offered. The only native property data is a capped allowance of property reports: 50 a month on Essential, 100 on Scale and 200 on Team. Pathwaize includes a power dialer, MailPixel direct mail from $0.68 a piece, property records at $0.03 and skip tracing at $0.07 with no monthly cap.

Does CarrotCRM include a website?

No. Lead capture websites are a separate Carrot Web subscription at $119 a month for one site on the Individual plan, with additional sites at $39 a month. Every Carrot Web plan bundles CarrotCRM Free. Pathwaize includes lead capture websites and funnels in every plan, with an AI builder that creates pages and copy from a prompt.

Which is cheaper, Pathwaize or CarrotCRM?

CarrotCRM has the lower subscription: $69 a month versus $197, or $2,016 versus $2,561 in the first year with text AI on both. Once you add what Pathwaize already includes, the order flips. CarrotCRM plus Carrot Web, the AI Suite and a smrtPhone dialer runs $312 to $337 a month before usage, against $197 for Pathwaize Pro, and still has no voice agent, direct mail, list data or skip tracing. For a five-person team on annual billing, Pathwaize Plus is $2,970 for the year with voice and text AI, versus $3,012 for CarrotCRM Scale with text AI only.

What are CarrotCRM's plan limits?

CarrotCRM caps several features by tier. eSignature sends are 5 a month on Essential, 20 on Scale and 50 on Team. Follow-up sequences are 3 templates on Free, 8 on Essential, 15 on Scale and unlimited on Team. Property reports are 5, 50, 100 and 200 a month. Automated lead response and workflows start on Scale, and weighted round-robin assignment and restricted users are Team only. Pathwaize has no caps on eSign, sequences or property records.

Does Pathwaize include an AI voice agent?

Yes. Sam AI is included in Pro, Plus and Elite. It answers inbound calls 24/7, qualifies sellers, books appointments, and makes outbound speed-to-lead and follow-up calls. AI voice minutes are billed at $0.39 on Pro, $0.26 on Plus and $0.195 on Elite.

Does CarrotCRM or Pathwaize offer a free trial?

CarrotCRM has a permanent free tier for 1 user with 3 sequence templates, 5 property reports a month, texting and email, rather than a timed trial. Carrot Web carries a 30-day money-back guarantee on the primary subscription, with the AI Suite and AI usage excluded. Pathwaize does not offer a free trial. You get a live demo and done-for-you onboarding instead, and the $197 onboarding fee is waived on annual plans.

What support does each platform offer?

CarrotCRM support is live chat on weekdays from 7am to 3pm Pacific, with priority support on Scale and Team. Phone and video support require the Premium Support add-on at $69 a month on Carrot Web. There is no dedicated account manager. Pathwaize includes 24/7 live chat, done-for-you setup with two live 1:1 sessions and a dedicated account manager on every plan.

Can I migrate from CarrotCRM or InvestorFuse to Pathwaize?

Yes. Pathwaize onboarding includes migration of your contacts, leads, pipeline stages and phone numbers, plus two live 1:1 sessions to configure the account around your business. If your website lives on Carrot Web, you can keep it and point its forms at Pathwaize, or move to a Pathwaize site during onboarding. CarrotCRM has no setup fee and monthly billing, so there is no penalty for running both during the overlap.
